Local entries
The journal uses localStorage for entries. Other browsers, devices and private browsing sessions may have separate storage. Clearing site data can erase the notebook without affecting any exported copy.
A session for the form
Opening the editorial form initialises a PHP session used to validate a request token and apply a short submission interval. That cookie supports form security; it is not an advertising identifier.
Your controls
Use the journal’s per-entry Remove button or its confirmed Clear journal action. Browser site-data settings can remove local storage and cookies together. An export is a separate file and must be managed separately.
When storage is unavailable
The journal explains when it cannot save to local storage. You can still read all articles. A failed form request must not be interpreted as a saved enquiry; the result message tells you whether storage succeeded.
Local page resources
Styles, scripts and images are served with the site. External official-source links open another organisation’s website, whose privacy and cookie arrangements are independent.
